Hello Community, Has anyone tried using Vice Versa (Pro Edition) for copying database data instead of using O.S commands? The software can be found on. I have a colleague in Admin who uses it to copy svn databases and says it very uesful for transferring "deltas", that is changes made to the databases. Re: Copying Database data with Vice Versa software I'm not familiar with Vice Versa, sounds like a backup management tool. You can use any backup management tool, to manage your DOORS Database backups. All that you need to know is, we only support differential backup, *not* incremental backup. When using differential backup, ensure you take full backup periodically. So as long as the underlying mechanism of Vice Versa uses differential backup, its fine.. If its anything else, I'd recommend you check with DOORS Support, with the details of how exactly backup is taken by the tool. |
